Case 1: Ultra-Wide Bar-Type Display for a Compact Device

Good afternoon.

We are designing an electronic device that features a TFT LCD touchscreen with the following specifications:

• Active area: H:22 mm x L:148.5 mm
• Resolution: H:240 pixels x L:1620 pixels (or very close)
• LCD Type: TFT
• Contrast ratio: 800:1 or better
• Brightness: at least 650 cd/m²
• Interface: MIPI (or RGB)
• Pixel size: 109.5 or similar
• Power: 1.8V to 3.3V
• Touch panel: capacitive touch with I²C interface
• Touch controller: preferable FT5601 or GT911
• Operation temperature: -20 to +70°C (or extended industrial range if available)
• Backlight voltage: acceptable min 10V to max 20V
• Vibration test must pass: 10Hz to 150Hz at 100m/s² for at least 120 minutes

– Later, the customer mentioned that this option was not suitable, since they needed the active screen to be around 22–25 mm in height and about 150 mm in length.
Therefore, we evaluated a cutting solution based on a 6.26 inch panel, and finally developed a 5.97 inch screen, which perfectly fits their requirements. Since this solution is not publicly released, we will not display the drawing here.

Thank you for your interest in our products. We have two standard parts, 4.0 inch 480×480 and 5.0 inch 600×600, that can meet your requirements. Please find attached the datasheets for your reference:

• S040HWV08NN-DC03
• S050QWS115EN V1.0

However, the 5.0 inch 600×600 version does not currently have a touch panel. Tooling for the touch panel is required. Please let us know if you have any specific requirements for the touch panel (such as cover lens or touch IC).
